So, Why Shoelaces?

Updated: Apr 6, 2021

Well, our team also decided to interview Mr. Muncer, the true driving force behind the idea of the rainbow shoelaces campaign. The idea was inspired by the premier league where footballers wore rainbow laces to show their support for the LGBTQ community. There was a discussion on creating rainbow masks for COVID-19 but the team came to a final decision on rainbow laces as the masks might not have been medically safe. The only problem the campaign faced was that the 1000 pairs of laces school ordered sold out in the first 2 weeks. As a result, another batch of laces was ordered to meet the demand of students. In total, the rainbow laces campaigned made over $10,000 in sales which surpassed the expectations of the campaign.
